State Representative Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City) is pleased with the turnout at this year’s Senior Health and Information Fair held at the Effingham National Guard Armory on Wednesday. The event was co-hosted with Senators Jason Plummer and Chapin Rose and Reps. Darren Bailey and Brad Halbrook.
“This is one of those community events where we are able to partner with multiple legislators and combine resources because all of our districts meet here in the Effingham area,” commented Rep. Blaine Wilhour, who represents the actual area where the Armory is located. “We are fortunate to have representatives from groups like the Effingham Police Department and senior services organizations and health care facilities from around the area like St. Elmo to help seniors learn about all of the services available to them.”
This year there were nearly fifty vendors, state offices, and service organizations represented to help senior citizens understand their rights and connect with services to help make their lives better. rity51 \lsdl
