“Congratulations to Haven Cash of the North Clay FFA Chapter on her selection to the Leadership Team of the Illinois FFA for 2026-7,” said Rep. Blaine Wilhour. “Individual hard work and perseverance are key characteristics of successful leaders and the support from Haven’s family and advisors cannot be diminished in helping to shape her character and work ethic.”

Some excerpts from an article written about Haven in October:
With over 200 hours of community service, North Clay FFA member Haven Cash is a passionate servant of her community. Serving within her school, community and various organizations has shaped Cash into who she is today. “[Service] is something much deeper than just a goal or requirement,” she says. “For myself, it was understanding that our community was built on a foundation of volunteering and service.”
Cash’s experiences have also inspired her to step into several leadership positions. She serves as Illinois FFA Section 23 president, Illinois FFA District 5 director, North Clay FFA chapter president, North Clay FFA greenhouse manager, and Clay County 4-H federation reporter—all while being a highly involved student-athlete.
Cash sets an example of service, leadership and community throughout the area, saying, “At the end of the day, it’s the people I’ve met, the sense of purpose I receive, and the joy of knowing I was able to help someone that truly matters.”
