State Rep. Blaine Wilhour attended the July “Lunch & Learn” meeting of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce in Vandalia. He shared insight on key issues affecting the region and state, including:
The importance of holding leaders accountable;
$3.4 Billion in DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) spending tied to illegal immigrants over the last three years;
The fact the Illinois has more state workers than there are manufacturing workers;
The recent victory of the anti-homeschool bill because of public pressure; and
The successful defeat of a proposed “delivery tax;”
Rep. Wilhour emphasized that looking forward, the priorities need to include massive deregulation, spending controls, property tax reform, and education freedom & parental choice.
