State Representative Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City) announced his program to encourage donations to local food pantries and church food banks around the eight counties in the 110th District including Bond, Clay, Clinton, Effingham, Fayette, Marion, Montgomery, and Richland. In addition to non-perishable food items, many programs accept donations to be able to purchase food items they may be running low.
“There are a good number of programs around our area that help families in need such as the Food Pantry located at the Salem Community Activities Center in Marion County that is supported by the Salem Ministerial Alliance,” said Rep. Blaine Wilhour. “There are many churches and non-profit groups that also collect food items for people in need, especially during the Christmas season. I encourage everyone to donate if they are able and help as many families and seniors on fixed incomes as we can.”
