State Rep. Blaine Wilhour is reminding all drivers that during National School Bus Safety Week | October 16-20, following the laws about not passing stopped school buses is key to helping save children from harm and injury.
Nearly every day, millions of children across the United States line up to ride the bus to school. The school bus is one of the safest modes of transportation, but illegal school bus passing poses a significant threat to children and their caretakers. Remember to prepare to stop when you see yellow flashing lights on a school bus and to stop completely when the red stop arm is extended and please share this reminder with family and friends.
