Rep. Wilhour Opposed to Chinese Company Receiving Illinois Tax Credits & Sharing Info with Chinese Military Intelligence

State Rep. Blaine Wilhour and fifteen of his House colleagues are demanding answers as to why a Chinese factory, Gotion High-Tech Co., is set to receive tax credits of $536 million through the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity to build a plant in Illinois. The Chinese company is already in line to receive $7.5 billion in federal tax credits for a total of $8 billion to build a factory that costs $2 billion.

The even bigger concern is that there are warnings about ties to the Chinese Communist Party and the requirement that Chinese companies must share privileged information with the Chinese Military Intelligence. We need answers from Governor Pritzker and his DCEO director, Kristin Richards! This must not proceed!
