The City of Salem, Kaskaskia College, and WJBD-WSIQ Radio are co-sponsoring a job fair Wednesday, June 16 from 9AM – 12 Noon. There are 18 employers from industries and businesses in the community looking to fill more than 250 jobs within the City of Salem and in the area.
The lack of employees recently have caused some businesses to have to cut hours or put off planned expansions. The event will be held at the Salem Education Center of Kaskaskia College on West Whitaker Street.
Organizers believe this will be a good opportunity for people to come out who are looking for a job or a different position and to explore what positions are available within the city. There should be something for those of all skill levels and every experience level.
Additionally Kaskaskia College will be there representing some technical programs that they have as well as BCMW and their Career Readiness Program.
