State Representative Blaine Wilhour had this to say about the latest indictments announced yesterday:
“The U.S Attorney’s announcement of indictments against key Madigan allies including Mike McClain, Anne Pramaggiore, John Hooker and Jay Doherty are not a surprise to anyone. Illinois citizens have been subjected to this influence peddling for decades. Speaker Madigan needs to resign immediately and the General Assembly should convene to enact the toughest and most transparent anti-corruption measures in the country to ensure that corrupt politicians can never accumulate this kind of power again.”
